God the Artist

He has never used an easel,
pallet, paints or brush.
Gods works have taken ages,
some things just can't be rushed.

From all the greens as grass grows
as it rustles in the breeze,
to the browns and golds and silvers
as the sun shines through the trees.

The deep blue skies of summer,
or the dark as storms rush in.
The glistening gleaming ripple,
as a fish enjoys its swim.

Shades of every colour,
caused by clouds so crisp and white;
twinkling frost upon the ground
on a clear cold winters night.

Birds with exquisite plumage
or a multi coloured beak.
Animals with stripes on,
a sight that’s hard to beat.

And as God sends all the rain down,
the world lights up in awe
As the most beautiful of rainbows
appears from shore to shore.

All the famous artists,
their works held in esteem,
fall deep into the shadows
as God paints out His dream.
