No Luck This Time

One blazing summer morning,
A tired humming bird,
Awake all night long,
Yearning to quench its thirst,
Landed on a garden,
Where a bowl of milk sprawls invitingly.

Waiting for the kitty to finish it off,
The humming bird hopped toward it.
He looked around and started to peck the milk.
But alas…how sad!

He could not drink the milk with a beak,
Thus flew away in sadness and thirst,
Leaving the full bowl of fresh milk,
For the kitty to finish.
