The Wonder of You


I watch you as you're sleeping, I hear your slow, even breaths,
and my heart, it over flows with endless love that I feel.
To lose you, my heart would die more then a thousand deaths,
this kind of love is marked eternal, my wounds would never heal.


As I lie here beside you, within the arms of your embrace,
with my fingers lightly tracing across your warm, bare chest.
I memorize every line of your gentle, sleeping face,
in a whisper, thanking God, because I know I've been blessed.


I wonder, do you know just how much you mean to me,
how every beat of my heart belongs to you forever more?
My soul's completely captured and it's you who holds the key,
I wonder, do you know that you're the one that I adore?


My fingers reach to softly trace the perfect line of your lips,
just one kiss of sweet desire can set my body ablaze.
With my fingers moving down, I trace the line of your hips,
as I recall our nights of passion...hotter then the sun's rays.


I reach and lightly brush my lips across your sweet, soft cheek,
with butterfly kisses that show the love that shines within.
Although you are sleeping, I know you hear my heart speak,
and you gently awaken when my fingers brush your skin.


Smiling eyes so full of love now gazing deep into my eyes,
and a kiss that's filled with passion sets my body on fire.
It's love, now in the making and it can't be disguised,
a love that's true and pure is all this magic required.
